NSCS’ Member Engagement Team strives to help you make the most out of your experience as a member, chapter officer or advisor.

Verelyn C. Gibbs
Senior Director, Member Engagement

verelyn-gibbs.jpgBorn in Georgetown, Guyana, and raised in Brooklyn New York – Verelyn comes to NSCS fresh from a stint on the West Coast.

Verelyn has over a decade of business experience in the financial services industry with New York Life Insurance Company. Her main areas of concentration have been strategic marketing, relationship management and making things “fun”!

After graduating from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland with a BS in Marketing, Verelyn obtained her MBA in Marketing Management from Pace University in New York City.


Blair A. Edwards
Manager, Member Engagement for Region 2

Region 2 includes: Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi

Blair-EdwardsBlair Edwards, an only child of two military parents, has lived in Panama, Germany, and Washington, D.C., but calls Woodbridge, Virginia home. She attended Howard University on a full-tuition scholarship and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Communications.

After graduation, she followed her passion for non-profit work to a public relations firm in Georgetown and served clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, United Nations Foundation, and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. There she worked on education issues such as college preparedness and success, as well as many health care initiatives.

In her position as Manager of Member Engagement, Blair serves as the point of contact for chapter officers and members at the local level. She also works with both students and the Member Engagement team on a number of interesting programs and events including the National Leadership Council, “I Stand for Integrity” Day, March to College Day and more.

In her free time, Blair is trying out new restaurants, reading books, checking out new movies, and hanging out with family and friends.

Colleen Grosch
Manager, Member Engagement for Region 3

Region 3 includes: Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa

Colleen Grosch

Colleen Grosch is Midwest born and raised. She grew up in St. Charles, Missouri right outside of St. Louis. Venturing a few hours away from home she attended the University of Kansas where she received her bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in Leadership Studies.

At Kansas, Colleen was involved in a variety of campus organizations and held various student leadership positions which sparked her interest in higher education as well as leadership development. This involvement led to her move out of the Midwest and into the Southeast where she received a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of South Carolina. While at South Carolina, Colleen worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, served as an Alumnae Advisor for her international sorority, and worked closely with the LeaderShape Institute as a Summer Program Coordinator.

In her position as Manager of Member Engagement, Colleen serves as the point of contact for chapter officers and members at the local level. She also works with both students and the Member Experience team on a number of interesting programs and events including the National Leadership Council, “I Stand for Integrity” Day, March to College Day and more.

Away from the office, Colleen enjoys traveling, visiting her friends all around the country, and spending time with her family whenever she can.

Luke Davis
Manager, Member Engagement for Region 4

Region 4 includes: Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico

Luke DavisLuke Davis was born and raised in Kentucky and now resides in Columbia, Missouri. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with emphasis areas in Social and Behavioral sciences at Western Kentucky University.

After graduation, he followed his passion for the student affairs field and worked at the University of Missouri – Columbia as a Residence Hall Coordinator. He then later worked at Webster University as Assistant Director, Residential Life and lastly joining the corporate world at United Airlines before making NSCS his home.

In his position as Manager of Member Engagement, Luke serves as the point of contact for chapter officers and members at the local level. He also works with both students and the Member Engagement team on a number of interesting programs and events including the National Leadership Council, “I Stand for Integrity” Day, March to College Day and more.

In his free time, Luke is busy traveling the world, keeping up with current events, and spending time with family and friends.
